Na tarde da última quarta-feira, 30 de agosto, a BM de Canela recuperou um veículo furtado por dois alunos. Por volta da 13h30min, a guarnição de Canela em patrulhamento na Rua Godofredo Raimundo, no Bairro Eugênio Ferreira, visualizou o veículo GM/Classic, sendo que ao tentar abordá-lo este empreendeu fuga, sendo acompanhado e somente interceptado próximo da escola João Alfredo Correa localizado na Rua Francisco Bertolucci, Bairro Sesi. No interior do carro estavam dois adolescentes de 14 anos.
Na sequência, uma professora do estabelecimento de ensino fez contato com a guarnição informando que o veículo furtado lhe pertencia. Ela relatou que entregou a chave para os alunos pegarem uma bolsa no interior do carro, mas eles aproveitaram para furtá-lo.
A vítima e os adolescentes infratores foram encaminhados para a delegacia onde foi registrada a ocorrência, sendo os menores acompanhados de seus pais e responsáveis.
