O acesso é feito pelo site www.gramado.rs.gov.br, na aba serviços, item Cidadão Web. É necessário ter cadastro no município e, para algumas questões, é preciso de uma senha disponibilizada pela Prefeitura.
Além das melhorias no acesso à documentação, o serviço evita que o contribuinte se desloque à sede da administração municipal e enfrente filas. Entre os documentos que podem ser acessados estão emissões de guias de IPTU, de ISSQN e de alvará. Não há cobrança de taxa de expediente para emissão de guias de pagamento via internet.
Pessoas físicas ou jurídicas também podem realizar doações a entidades, como para o Fundo Municipal da Criança e do Adolescente e para o Fundo Municipal do Idoso, cujo valor pode ser abatido do Imposto de Renda (IR). As leis federais de incentivo permitem que pessoas físicas destinem até 8% do IR à iniciativas culturais e sociais. Para empresas, a destinação é de até 2%.
